As one of the members of the elite police force known only as ANBU, Shisui’s main duty involves investigating drug related crime at most of the clubs in Tokyo.

Shisui is one of the most talented members of the police force when it comes to apprehending criminals due to his speed, which is near unparalleled. As such, and being one of the few, the elite, the Uchiha, Shisui is confident to the point of arrogance. He no longer allows people to get too close to him since his cousin and best friend Itachi became part of Club Akatsuki.

In his spare time, Shisui races competitively and loathes to be still; he's a workaholic who is easily bored. He can drive most vehicles with ease and has a tendency to wear revealing or tight clothing, because he's just that damn fine.

Shisui’s main talents lie in apprehension and deduction- when presented with evidence, he can formulate sound theories of what happened at a crime scene. He prefers to chase a criminal than to figure out what happened though.

He is, strangely, terrified of drowning. It’s not that he can’t swim- he can (not very well)- he just won’t go near water any more. No-one’s entirely sure why this phobia developed in him, but it seems to be quite severe.

Shisui is no cynic, but he would not class himself as naïve in any sense. He takes a medium ground- with most things actually, whether it’s life views or simply a favourite colour.

In love and physical relationships... well, he doesn’t really have any of the former. He feels some sort of duty-bound love to his family, even those who have abandoned them for the life in the clubs but that’s about it. As for the latter... well, it happens. Nothing to write home about, he claims.

Shisui does not drink alcohol, and has never had any desire to. Which is why he almost never takes up undercover work.

As an Uchiha, Shisui had a fortunate upbringing, if not a little strict and rigorous. Even the cousins of the main family were trained to be brilliant. The family had always been close knit, and Shisui's best friend was his younger cousin Itachi.

Though Shisui was talented, he never held a candle to Itachi in any department but his speed.

By seventeen, Shisui had begun his training for the police force, having graduated school early. He made fast progress through the academy, but in his second year problems circulated with the death of his partner in the academy, in which he was the main suspect. He had actually killed the other teen after an argument, however his family managed to cover it up and falsify evidence to make it appear like a drug related suicide. No-one other than the elder members of his family and himself ever knew the truth of the matter.

Though he is possibly the only member of his generation to remain loyal to the Uchiha name, and go into the police force, he is held in regard, but also in suspicion by any living elders for this secret, as well as slight distaste by them for his habit of crossdressing. It's unsure whether he continues to crossdress for the reaction- his own form of rebellion, being too duteous to the name to do as Sasuke and Itachi have- or for other reasons.
